United We Stand For Chess

”Tradition ist Bewahrung des Feuers, nicht Anbetung der Asche.“
“Tradition is the preservation of the flame, not the adoration of the ashes.”
Gustav Mahler

These are the memories of the people, places and events of our chess history.

                  About the Idaho Chess History

An ongoing project to preserve the history of chess in the state of Idaho.

Editor: Number Six - currently a resident of the Island

This site will contain archival material concerning Idaho chess in the period 1941-1981. There will be another page that will contain material from 1982 to present. Much information is currently unavailable and will hopefully be accessed soon. THANKS for your patience and continuing support.

Records, however, are incomplete.
